Why Base Camp? AND ….What makes the San Bernardino Mountains the perfect Base Camp?
Years ago I remember reading an article from on outdoor magazine about what different versions of “home” might look like. Hours of scouring the net, and I haven’t found the article, but here’s the gist: For some people, their home is a landing zone between adventures, and for others their home is their castle.
Now at the time, I connected with my home being a base camp between adventures, snow sports and hikes drew us away but we loved coming back to the refuge of our cabin. Now, our adventures are a bit different and mostly on the sidelines of our kids sports- but you get the idea. The bigger picture is that the idea of “Home” is distinct and individual, and often comes down to what we value.
There are so many individual questions that play into finding the right space and place, and that’s where I got the idea of Home being a Base Camp. For us, Running Springs is the perfect base camp due to it’s easy access to trails and snow fun. I know that there is no where I would rather be.
Translating these thoughts to real estate and helping others: I am thankful to be able to help people identify what they truly value and then help them go after it. Sometimes that means change and transitions in life when it is time to sell, sometimes that means something new and exciting and it’s time to buy. Either way, my passion is helping people make good decisions.
